GUDRUN BUHLER

Gudrun Buhler is a German Opera Singer, Actress, Writer and Director. She has studied piano in Mannheim and then switched to voice when she studied at the School of Music in Karlsruhe. She holds a Master Degree for Vocal Performance from Manhattan School of Music.

Gudrun has performed numerous times in Venues such as Baden Baden Festspielhaus, Carnegie Hall and other Opera houses in Europe and the United States. In 2016 Gudrun was invited to sing at a Peace Conference in the Vatican in Rome and was a finalist at the Altamura/Caruso International Voice Competition. In 2017 Gudrun wrote and performed “Mozart’s Women”, portraying the wife of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. “Mozart’s Women” has won Best Singer, Best Show and Best Original Show in the Festival competition of the NY Theatre Festival. In 2018 Gudrun was invited to perform in four concerts honoring the victims of the Holocaust in Krakow.

Her next concert at the St.Francis Cabrini Shrine will be on May 18th as part of the New York Landmarks Conservancy “Sacred Sounds and Settings”.

The concert will feature music by Franz Schubert.

Her newest project, the “Anina-Art-Events” will offer live music, the exhibition of visual art and the reading of poetry and literature at Cabrini Shrine in June and July.
